About Us

Two Maids prioritizes customer service and quality

At Two Maids, our goal is to make a difference in people's daily lives. We help busy families maintain beautiful, clean and healthy homes and take care of the chores that no one has the time or energy to do. We proudly serve our customers so they can focus on what matters most to them.

Two Maids actively supports the "Cleaning for a Reason" organization, which offers free housecleaning to people undergoing cancer treatment. Most of us have experienced cancer first-hand and we know that the kindness and service of others is a blessing that can provide some comfort and peace of mind in challenging times. Two Maids is proud to play a small part in that effort. We also partner with Alliance for Hope International to help provide support and care for survivors of domestic violence.

At Two Maids, we endeavor to build dedicated and honest teams that looks forward to caring for your home. We know that providing our Professional House Cleaners with a growth plan, healthy compensation, and an environment that fosters encouragement and compassion will result in happier employees that can better meet or exceed our customers expectations.

Two Maids cherishes the value people with disabilities bring to all aspects of life and we strive to ensure access to employment opportunities and our services where possible. We work diligently to align our websites and web applications with the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We work to keep pace with these ever-evolving standards because we recognize their importance in making the digital world a more accessible environment for those with disabilities. Our Chesapeake Team

At Two Maids of Southeastern Virginia, we believe that your time is your most valuable resource. That belief isn't just a business philosophy, it's rooted in my personal story. My name is Lee Sheridan, and before I became a small business owner, I spent 22 years leading teams in the insurance industry. While I achieved professional success, my work often pulled me away from the people who matter most, my wife Deborah and our two daughters, Delaney and Riley.

As a family, we faced the same challenges many busy households do. Both Deborah and I had demanding jobs with extensive travel, leaving little time to manage the day-to-day demands of a home, let alone enjoy quality moments together. We hired a maid service to ease the load, but instead of providing relief, it added frustration. Missed appointments, inconsistent cleaning, and lack of communication left us stressed and disappointed.

That experience planted a seed in my mind: families deserve better.

In January 2017, while sitting in a boardroom in Los Angeles, I made the life-changing decision to leave my corporate career and pursue something closer to my heart. I chose to open a Two Maids franchise, inspired by my upbringing in Stratford, Connecticut. My parents were both entrepreneurs—my father, a classically trained chef and caterer, and my mother, a resilient Cuban refugee who became a hairdresser and deli owner. From them, I learned the value of hard work, the importance of community, and the pride that comes from building something meaningful.

At Two Maids, we are more than just a cleaning service. We are a partner in helping you reclaim your time and peace of mind. We focus on professionalism, clear communication, rigorous training, and delivering consistent results every time we enter your home. Most importantly, we understand the real impact of what we do—it’s not just about having a clean house. It’s about giving you the freedom to spend more time with your family, pursue your passions, or simply relax after a long day.

We know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed and stretched too thin, and that’s why we’re here: to give you the gift of time and a home you can feel proud of.

At Two Maids of Southeastern Virginia, it’s not just business—it’s personal.

Warmly,

Lee Sheridan
